What batch traceability means
A lot number is only useful if it connects to something. How labels, records and documents link together, and what verification can and cannot tell you.
Traceability is the ability to follow a specific unit of product back to the production lot it came from, and from that lot to its records: when it was made, how it was tested and what the results were.
The chain
- The label carries a batch (lot) number and an expiry date.
- The batch number keys a record held by the supplier.
- The record links to the analytical documentation issued for that lot, where it exists.
Each link only works if the one before it is accurate. A label without a matching record is just a printed code, and a record without a document is only a claim.
What verification tells you
Batch verification confirms that a batch number corresponds to a record we hold, and shows the product, dates and documentation status recorded against it. It is a check on consistency between label and record.
T-PEPTIDES publishes batch records as documentation is issued. If a batch number from a T-PEPTIDES label does not return a record, contact us with the number and we will look into it.
